Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to pharmacy regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide medication administration support and guidance to patients, addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management.
• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and patient interactions.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on pharmacy practices and regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or in a similar role is essential.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration processes and pharmaceutical terminology.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or should be working towards it.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.50-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
