About the Role

Newtown Pharmacy Maynooth is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician or an experienced OTC Assistant with a strong interest in qualifying as a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive pharmacy environment while developing your skills and career.

You will assist the pharmacist in the smooth day-to-day running of the dispensary and support the wider pharmacy team in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with the day-to-day operation of the dispensary
• Support the pharmacy team to ensure efficient and safe workflow
• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing OTC medicines
• Provide accurate advice on OTC products, including dosage and potential side effects
• Manage product inventory, stock levels, and merchandising where required
• Handle customer queries in a professional and efficient manner
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and pharmacy regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a similar OTC role
• Good knowledge of common OTC medicines and healthcare products
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and commitment to providing high-quality service
