About the Role

As a technician working for Health New Zealand, Waitematā District, you will be supporting services across the campus, undertaking a wide variety of operational tasks, including but not limited to inpatient dispensing, compounding and refilling of Pyxis MedStations. There will also be OPAT (Outpatient Antimicrobial Therapy) dispensing and some processing of biologic and cytotoxic infusions. You will help to deliver and maintain a safe and efficient medication supply service to our growing population. This is a full time permanent position, working 40 hours per week spread over a Monday-Friday roster with occasional rostered Saturdays or Sundays and public holiday involvement at our Waitākere Hospital site.

About Us

We are a large team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, with over 100 staff across several sites, who work together to provide a patient-focussed and technologically-innovative pharmacy service. This position offers a great opportunity to work primarily with our friendly Waitākere Hospital Inpatient Dispensary team.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold the National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) issued by the NZ Qualifications Authority – Level 5
• Have hospital pharmacy experience (this is desirable but not essential, as we can provide training to the right person)
• Be resourceful, organised, friendly team player
• Have a positive attitude with a good sense of humour
• Be keen and motivated for training and further learning
