The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) at the University of Luxembourg brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences.

Your role
The doctoral researcher will be working under the supervision of Prof. Anna-Lena Högenauer. The doctoral researcher’s main task will be to prepare a doctoral thesis related to either 1) women in European Union politics, or 2) women in the politics of one or more EU member states, or 3) small states in the European Union. The doctoral candidate will also contribute to the teaching of a limited number of classes at BA and MA level and will assist Prof. Högenauer in her research. The work will be undertaken at the University of Luxembourg (Belval campus) and the doctoral researcher will be required to be present on campus several days per week.

Your profile
- A Master’s degree in political science or a related field
- A high level of English (minimum C1)
- Commitment to a team-based research environment with an ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- The ability to speak/read French or German would be considered advantageous but is not required
