We’re expanding our team and looking for a Photography Studio Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and is passionate about visual storytelling.

Job Summary

As a Photography Studio Assistant at JOP Studios, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily studio operations and ensuring that photography and video projects run seamlessly from start to finish. This hybrid role blends in-studio work with remote post-production and administrative coordination.

You’ll assist during shoots, handle logistics and file management, curate photos for editing, and maintain smooth communication across the creative team including photographers, videographers, and editors to ensure timely project completion.

This role is ideal for someone who’s organized, creative, and eager to grow within a dynamic photography agency.

Key Responsibilities

● Assist photographers and videographers during in-studio and on-location shoots.

● Set up and organize lighting, cameras, and backdrops before and after sessions.

● Manage and maintain photography and video equipment, ensuring readiness for use.

● Support post-production workflows by transferring, backing up, naming, and organizing files.

● Select and curate the best images from each shoot to streamline editing and delivery.

● Manage studio schedules, client bookings, and calendar coordination for sessions and meetings.

● Serve as the main contact for booking confirmations, shoot reminders, and general studio inquiries.

● Ensure studio space is clean, organized, and client-ready at all times.

● Follow up with team members including photographers, videographers, and editors on project progress, deadlines, and deliverables.

● Track and update project timelines, ensuring smooth communication between creative and administrative teams.

● Assist with content preparation, behind-the-scenes documentation, and creative updates for social media.

● Coordinate with editors, designers, and the creative team to ensure on-time delivery of client projects.

● Provide general administrative and operational support to the studio manager and creative director as needed.

Qualifications

● Experience in a photography, videography, or creative studio environment preferred.

● Strong understanding of photography/videography workflows, including lighting, file management, and post-production.

● Basic proficiency in editing tools (e.g., Davinci, Lightroom, or Photoshop) is an asset.

● Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

● Familiarity with Google Workspace, GoHighLevel, Monday.com or Slack is preferred.

● Excellent communication, follow-up, and time management skills.

● Strong attention to detail with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.

● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
