PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Physical Therapy Aide for our busy outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice in Long Beach California. This is a part-time position with potential to transition into a full-time position for a clinic that operates Monday through Friday, 6am - 7pm. We will work around school schedule if needed.
This is an excellent learning environment for students looking to continue on to future schooling for any healthcare profession including PT/OT/PA graduate programs or PTA/OTA school.
P.T. Aide Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets patients and guides them to and from treatment area.
- Assists Physical Therapist in treatment of patients.
- Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients during therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
- Administer therapeutic modalities such as heat/ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, etc.
- Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, taking messages, filling out forms, taking inventory, and ordering supplies.
- Schedule patient appointments, make confirmation calls and monitor daily schedule.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma (Required)
- P.T. Aide experience OR college level anatomy and physiology courses (Required, both preferred)
- CPR certification (Preferred)
- Must be a motivated, fast learner, with great communication skills who works well with others
- Ideal candidate is pursuing PT as future career
- Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
