Physiotherapy Assistant - Cardiorespiratory/Acute Neuro Team

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our team to work as a Physiotherapy Assistant.

We have a part-time position, 0.4FTE, available to work as part of our Cardiorespiratory/Acute Neurology Physiotherapy inpatient team.

  • Part time role between 0730-1600, Thursday and Friday

This role require you to work primarily with the Physiotherapists on the medical wards to physically assist with patient rehabilitation including transfers and mobility plus undertaking individual exercise programmes with the patients. You will also gain experience helping across acute stroke/general surgical wards as required. These roles also involve assisting with equipment tracking and day-to-day administration including documenting in your patients’ clinical notes. We offer a supportive environment including training and we encourage personal and professional development.

You are required to have an interest in working with patients, be keen to learn, ready for a rewarding challenge and eager to help to facilitate the rehabilitation of our patients.

Essential:

  • Be willing to work in a team environment in healthcare
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Strong command of verbal and written English
  • Computer skills
  • Able to work 0730-1600
  • A good degree of physical fitness is required due to the nature of the role
  • Experience in a healthcare setting or exercise programmes is preferred
  • Full, clean drivers licence
