The Guitar Player School is a growing local music school dedicated to helping students of all ages fall in love with guitar and reach their potential. We specialize in small group classes for kids, teens, and adults that make learning fun, social, and inspiring.

About the Role

We’re looking for a part-time piano teacher to join our team!
You don’t need to be a virtuoso — what matters most is your positive energy, reliability, and coachability. We’ll train you in our teaching systems and provide paid onboarding to help you succeed.

Responsibilities

• Teach group guitar classes following our training format
• Lead engaging, upbeat lessons that motivate students to practice and grow
• Communicate professionally with students and parents
• Use or be trained on basic technology tools and apps to track attendence, log hours, communicate with parents)
• Create or edit simple chord charts, jam tracks, and lesson materials or use your own curriculum.
• Learn and perform a variety of styles: modern rock, and pop, classical/ theater

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum piano skills: Can read basic music notation to teacher beginner students, read chord charts, learn songs by ear.
• Makes learning fun: Creating fun games that incorporate listening, rhythm, and technique.
• Coachability: open to feedback and continuous improvement
• Tech savvy: comfortable learning basic apps and online tools
• Personality: friendly, enthusiastic, and great with people
• Dependable: shows up prepared, on time, and ready to bring energy to every class
• Availability: Most classes are early evenings weekdays but hours will expand as school continues to grow. Day time options will also become available as school grows both weekday and weekend.

Job Type: Part-time

Base Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
