This role may include people management responsibilities, including supervising instructors and camp staff. There also may be the future opportunity to earn addition commission from on-court instruction.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design, implement, and manage with the help of the director a comprehensive pickleball program for members of all ages and skill levels, ensuring all programs meet safety standards and best practices.
  • With the help of the Director, develop and oversee leagues, clinics, instructional programs, tournaments, and other social play events.
  • Actively grow participation in the pickleball program through strong member engagement and effective sales and promotional skills.
  • The ability to develop and plan programming and Pickleball events based on the assessment of the membership needed with the help and guidance from the Director.
  • Plan and deliver seasonal camps and instructional programs for children.
  • Monitor participation levels and adapt programming to meet member demand.
  • Organize and run club tournaments, special events, and social competitions.
  • Provide high-quality instruction, coaching, and clinics to members.
  • Manage court scheduling, programming calendars, and event logistics.
  • Coordinate program registration and communicate schedules and updates to members.
  • Track program participation and evaluate the success of programming initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with club management and other departments.
  • Offer private, semi-private and group lessons.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive pickleball culture within the club.
  • Engage with members to encourage participation, build community, and support skill development.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and scheduling support for pickleball staff.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and professional team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Strong playing background in pickleball with demonstrated knowledge of the game.
  • Experience coaching or instructing pickleball in a club or recreational setting.
  • TPA (Teaching Professional Association) certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience working in private or members-only clubs
  • Tournament or league management experience
  • Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification (required).
  • Experience developing and managing sports programming or leagues.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Engaging, energetic personality with strong member service skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience is an asset.

  • A flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle
  • Competitive wages for your expertise
  • Access to our fitness facilities and potentially a complimentary membership
  • A dynamic and positive environment where you’ll grow professionally and personally
