Pilot Plant Operator

The Pilot Plant is a key part of AB Enzymes’ R&D organization, bridging the gap between laboratory development and commercial production. As a Pilot Plant Operator, you will play an important role in developing, testing, and refining enzyme production processes before they are transferred to our manufacturing facility. This is a permanent position located in Rajamäki, Finland.

The Role

In your role as Pilot plant operator your work will be related to pilot scale cultivations with some laboratory technician tasks. Your main responsibilities entail the precise execution of fermentation and downstream processing experiments, perform process analytics, and diligent documentation of the results.

Beyond daily operations, you will help maintain and continuously improve our pilot plant facility by contributing your practical expertise and insights. You will also support the team in maintaining high standards in quality, safety, and operational excellence.

About You

You have educational background in process or laboratory technology, biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, or another related natural science field. You are both independent and able to work in a team. We value the willingness to learn, the determination to achieve results, and the ability to adapt to changing situations. The team consists of both Finnish- and English-speaking colleagues, so you can communicate in both languages.

Some of the key qualifications we appreciate are:

• A focus on quality: You are precise, efficient, and tidy

• A process understanding based on suitable technical education and/or previous work experience

• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks within the given parameters

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Finnish; basic English skills are required.
• Experience in working with bioprocess technology equipment is an asset
