Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced with the knowledge, skills, and expertise to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment for water, force main, gravity sewer and storm drainage.

Candidate will work at the direction of the Pipe Foreman.

Must have verifiable experience with references.

Must have reliable transportation to the jobsites.

Must pass a drug test and background check.

Must be able to work long hours and weekends when required.

Must be able to read and interpret project plans in regards to the utility and drainage installations.

Candidate should be proficient in the use of lasers, instruments, grade rods, and transit levels. GPS experience is a plus.

Must be able to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, primarily excavators, associated with the pipe crew for excavation, trenching, shoring, pipe installation, setting of structures, backfill and compaction.

Responsibilities include inspection, lubrication, startup, and housekeeping/cleaning of equipment daily.

Must be able to communicate, coordinate, and work in concert with the pipelayer and other crew members during the pipe and structure installations.

Ability to assist Foreman in directing and training of fellow crew personnel.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures involving safety.

Must possess ability to meet company physical requirements for this position including sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, stooping, reaching, balancing, twisting, crawling and kneeling, lifting (up to 50lbs.), pushing, pulling, climbing, stairs, ladders, equipment operation outside and in varying types of environmental conditions for extended periods.
