Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, ensuring adherence to established recipes and presentation standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other tools safely and efficiently
• Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting creative toppings or styles
• Maintain strict food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Handle food production tasks including dough preparation, topping assembly, braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling
• Support dietary department needs by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements and dietary aide protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-volume production runs smoothly while maintaining quality control

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, especially in fine dining or high-volume environments
• Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various cutting techniques efficiently
• Knowledge of culinary techniques such as braising, poaching (culinary method of cooking in liquid at low temperature), and grilling
• Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to uphold health standards
• Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility for menu variations or special requests
• Previous catering experience or experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is highly desirable

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
