Job Description

We are currently seeking to employ a Planner - Streetlights to our Streetlights Business Unit team based in Albany, Auckland. In this role, you will provide work planning services with responsibility for the effective planning and administration of work packages and programmes to support the Contract Manager – Streetlights and Streetlight administration team.
About the Role

- Preparing streetlight LED and pole replacement forward works programmes in the streetlighting contract area.
- Preparing job packs for streetlight renewals, inspections, and installation programmes.
- Providing weekly reports to monitor progress on maintenance, LED & pole renewal works and cash flows to ensure that the streetlight team is within key monthly targets.
- Ordering materials with key suppliers to ensure that sufficient stock is available to meet program workflow requirements.
- Ensuring that contract claim rates are correctly applied as per contract price schedule.
- Acting as the primary contact person during the day for AT call centre escalations and queries.
- Ensuring that rates are aligned to the work activity performed on site and are correctly recorded in Road Asset Maintenance Management (RAMM).
- Addressing any anomalies with claims, with input from field staff and the Contract Manager.
- Implementing strategies to eliminate or remove data entry errors across the multiple streetlight work streams including RAMM and Central Management System (CMS).
- Performing office and field QAs to ensure that data entry processes are correctly followed, and data is correctly entered into the various streetlight databases.
- Administering key contractual activities, such as preparing monthly claims and allocating costs to correct budget categories.
- Providing administrative support as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- A thorough understanding of and competence in MS Office e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams.
- Preferable experience in using Road Asset Maintenance Management (RAMM) or Central Management System (CMS) or similar asset database applications.
- Good understanding of financial & contract administration such as but no limited to; Invoicing, sub-contractor claim processing, Purchase orders and reporting.
- Sound organisational and planning skills, with special reference to the administrative and project requirements of the role.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Certificate in Business Administration or relevant qualification applicable to the administrative functions of this role.
- Sound written and oral English language.
