Senior Plant Fitter / Mechanic for Finna Construction
We are a well-established medium-sized construction company operating our own fleet of plant machinery, construction equipment, and company vans. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced Plant Fitter to take responsibility for maintaining and managing our fleet to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Service and maintain excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, rollers, and other heavy plant
- Maintain and repair company vans and light commercial vehicles
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules
- Respond efficiently to on-site breakdowns
- Ensure machinery meets safety and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate service and inspection records
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience working with heavy plant machinery
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Proven experience working independently in a construction environment
- Full clean Category B driving licence
- Safe Pass required
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and plant electrics
Desirable
- Experience managing fleet maintenance schedules
- Category C licence
