The Project Planner is responsible for building, maintaining, and controlling integrated project schedules and resource plans for greenfield and brownfield factory expansion projects, ensuring all civil, PEB, utilities, machinery installation, and automation activities are planned, sequenced, and monitored to achieve safety, cost, and timeline targets.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (30 -36-month horizon) for new factory construction, factory bay expansions, and major line installations (HVAC, fabrication, machining, welding robotics, cranes, utilities)
  • Break down project scope into WBS, activities, and milestones for civil, PEB, electrification, utilities, MEP interface, equipment foundations, erection, and commissioning.
  • Align project schedule with capex plan, procurement timelines, machine delivery, and contractor mobilization, highlighting critical path and float
  • Coordinate with project, production, maintenance, EHS, quality, procurement, and consultants to collect progress data and update schedules weekly.
  • Monitor actual vs plan for key milestones (building readiness, utilities readiness, machine foundations, machine arrival, erection, power‑on, trials, PPAP/qualification, ramp‑up) and flag slippages with recovery plans.
  • Integrate contractor schedules (civil, PEB, electrical, HVAC, utilities, automation vendors) into one master schedule and track their commitments.
  • Support EHS planning by sequencing high‑risk activities (working at height, heavy lifting, excavation, hot work, live utility interface) to minimize overlaps and enable safe execution.
  • Prepare resource and capacity plans for site teams, contractors, and cranes/equipment needs, coordinating with stakeholders to avoid bottlenecks.
  • Work with procurement and stores to align material availability (steel, cement, cables, panels, utility items, machines, tools, fixtures) with schedule requirements and highlight risks early.
  • Maintain clear documentation of assumptions, constraints, interfaces with existing factory operations, and planned shutdowns or cut‑ins
  • Generate regular project reports and dashboards (milestone trackers, look‑ahead plans, S‑curves, delay analysis) for plant leadership and global/corporate stakeholders.
  • Support risk analysis by identifying schedule and interface risks, proposing mitigation actions, and tracking their implementation status.
  • Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of planning templates, checklists, and lessons learned for future projects.
  • Lead project communication with plant leadership and global/corporate stakeholders, providing progress updates, escalation, and decision support.
  • Establish and monitor project plans, RACI, and KPIs for construction, machinery erection, utilities, and commissioning, with regular reviews and risk mitigation.
  • Drive greenfield and brownfield factory projects, including layout finalization, civil and PEB works, utilities, machinery installation, and production ramp up.
  • Lead cross functional teams (projects, production, maintenance, EHS, quality, finance, consultants, and vendors) to achieve milestones within budget and timeline undefined.

Basic Qualifications(requirements):-

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial) or related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in project planning, construction planning, or production planning in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and strong Excel skills for tracking and reporting.
  • Understanding of industrial construction and installation activities: civil/PEB works, electrical and utility distribution, heavy equipment foundations, machinery erection, and commissioning.
