Roechling Industrial is an industrial plastics manufacturer located in Orangeville, ON.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plastics Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating machinery and equipment to produce high-quality plastic while ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with manufacturing equipment, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Duties

  • Set up and operate machines/equipment (saws, mills, slitting machines, robots) to transform raw plastic materials into finished products such as tubes, sheets, and profiles.
  • Set up, tear down, change over of lines, equipment, machinery ensuring proper calibration and configuration for each production run
  • Monitor machine operations, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Monitor the production processes, inspecting products for defects and ensuring they meet specifications
  • Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control and monitor manufacturing processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
  • Operate forklifts safely for material handling when necessary
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety protocols
  • Record production data, including quantities produced and any issues encountered during the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing, machining, or related industrial environments
  • Mechanical/technical knowledge of processes and equipment operation
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI and hand tools
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments
  • Experience with quality inspection techniques using calipers and other measuring tools
  • Forklift experience / license
  • Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Vocational Diploma or equivalent experience, experience with manufacturing materials, machine capabilities, outputs and experience with equipment operation, programming, testing knowledge, automation, sensors, analytics and control systems.
  • Experience with production processes, and quality control standards
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
  • Good eye hand coordination and physically capable of lifting, pushing, pulling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$27.67 per hour
