Platform Partnerships Lead

At Mollie, we’re on a mission to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe. We started 20 years ago when we launched a more direct, affordable way for companies to get paid. That provided an alternative to the frustrating, overpriced solutions that banks offered at the time. Today, we serve more than 250,000 businesses across Europe with an all-in-one solution that simplifies payments and money management. And we’re a 850-strong team of product, finance, support, commerce, and engineering specialists working across Europe – from Lisbon to London.

Your opportunity

eCommerce and marketplace platform partners are among Mollie’s most important channels for growth. As we further expand through Europe, these partnerships are more important than ever before. Through the technology, branding and market presence of these e-commerce platforms, we will come closer to our strategic goal - to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe.

You, as our new eCom Partnerships Lead, will be responsible to grow and foster the relationships with our e-commerce platform partners across Europe - in both existing and new-to-Mollie markets. You will represent Mollie at key industry events and develop strategic partnerships which enable Mollie to further accelerate its growth in Europe. You will be part of the Partnerships Domain, managing 5 eCom partner managers situated across our offices, and report to our Head of Partnerships.

What you'll be doing

  • Expand and manage a team of 5 platform partner managers, fostering close partnerships with fast-growing platforms

  • Determine and execute the global platform strategy, including identification and acquisition of new platform partners in growth markets

  • Steer performance to increase the number and value of leads generated through partners, setting ambitious targets for growth

  • Coach the team to increase the acquisition of new partners as well as increasing the commercial outcomes with existing partners

  • Work closely with country commercial teams, technical partner management, product and marketing to gather feedback and prioritize opportunities

  • Identify and quantify opportunities for Mollie and create a roadmap for execution

  • Implement these growth projects working cross functionally with other teams across the business

What you will bring

  • 8+ years work experience in Partner Management in either Fintech, eCommerce or B2B SaaS, around 2 of those in a leadership role

  • You have strong people leadership skills with a passion for coaching and driving results through the team

  • You bring a strategic and analytical mindset and strong problem solving and communication skills.

  • You are confident with public speaking and open to representing Mollie at industry events

  • You have great experience in deal negotiation and partner management

  • You are used to fast execution and love change and creating new opportunities

  • A data driven approach is second nature to you and you continuously improve and optimise your business

  • You are a fast, proactive and independent thinker who loves taking ownership

  • You also don't shy away from rolling up your sleeves and helping out where needed

  • You are also a great team player and enjoy working on cross-functional teams

  • You are fluent in English

  • Amsterdam Office based (3 days a week), with willingness to travel up to ~20% of your time to meet with partners
