Playground Supervisor (Weekend)

Job Overview
Duties and Responsibilities:

Seeking an individual to join us at Little Brain Lab indoor playground as a staff member who monitors playtime, interacts with customers, manages reservations and check in of guests, cleans/disinfects in between playtime slots, and coordinates birthday parties.

Employee will be required to maintain safety and cleanliness standards and report maintenance issues promptly.

Employee will assist with party set up and decor including balloons.

Schedule:
Weekends only. Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm.

Work Location:

In person at the playground in South Orange, NJ

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and emotional development.
• Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive team environment.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Background in sports coaching or physical education to facilitate active play. (Preferred)
• First aid certification to ensure children's safety during activities.
• Experience in childcare settings with a focus on early childhood education.
• Customer service experience (Required)
• Computer literacy, communication, and interpersonal skills (Required)
• MS Office, Google docs, mail (Required)
• Party Planning/ coordination (Preferred)
• Balloon garland set up (Preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.60 - $23.60 per hour
