Playgroup Support Worker 2

Moy Area Playgroup are seeking to recruit a one to one support worker for immediate start until June 2025. This is a temporary post.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9 – 12pm (contact hours), 2 additional hours for completing paperwork and preparation (17 hours in total).

Responsibilities:

• The support worker will have to carefully plan and deliver focused learning opportunities to promote social and play skills, ensuring inclusion and participation in routines.
• To assist a child with limited mobility in everyday playgroup situation.
• The support worker will provide intimate care for the child.

Essential skills and qualifications:

• A minimum of QCF/NVQ level 3 CCLD.

Desirable skills:

• A willingness to undertake additional training.
• Experience and responsibility with carrying out observations, planning and delivering age/stage related activities implementing appropriate care plans, PLP’s and schedules.
• A working knowledge of the Northern Ireland Pre-school Curriculum.
• Experience working with children with limited mobility.
