Plumbing Foreman- Contract Division

Position Summary
The Plumbing Foreman is responsible for managing all on-site plumbing activities on commercial and industrial construction projects. This leadership role ensures that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will be an experienced field leader with a hands-on background in managing crews, coordinating with other trades, and proactively resolving challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight
  • Supervise and coordinate the installation of plumbing systems (sanitary sewer and vent, domestic water, natural gas, etc.) on commercial and industrial job sites.

  • Ensure timely execution of work according to project schedules, specifications, and drawings.

  • Manage daily operations, monitor productivity, and drive efficient crew performance.

Team Leadership
  • Direct and mentor plumbers, helpers, and subcontractors on site.

  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet job requirements.

  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary field liaison between project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.

  • Attend and contribute to jobsite meetings, progress updates, and inspections.

  • Communicate field conditions, material needs, and change orders effectively.

Quality & Compliance
  • Review blueprints and plumbing plans for accuracy and feasibility.

  • Ensure installations meet IPC, local codes, and quality expectations.

  • Conduct inspections and testing for completed systems.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Foreman or Superintendent on plumbing construction projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial and industrial plumbing systems, construction means and methods, and local building codes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage crews, schedules, and subcontractors in a dynamic field environment.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred. Journeyman or Master Plumber’s License a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and specifications.
