Responsibilities
Our plumbing technicians work with a wide array of technology and equipment, while performing a variety of duties to troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment according to safety regulations, with an emphasis on predictive and productive maintenance. The successful candidate has a thorough knowledge of plumbing systems and associated fixtures and equipment. You are responsible for installing, servicing and trouble-shooting boilers, pumps, hydronics systems and gas fired burner appliances.
Requirements
- Successful experience with commercial plumbing work
- Previous experience trouble shooting boilers, pumps and hydronic systems
- Knowledge of electrical/controls and typical plumbing service
- Red Seal Plumbing, Back Flow, Gas A and/or B tickets for fully qualified plumbing technicians
- A thorough understanding of provincial plumbing code and standards
- 2nd year or higher for apprentices preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with clients and office staff
- Valid full class driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be comfortable working with mobile devices (we use the FieldEdge mobile app)
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check

Pay: $25.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Application question(s):
- A requirement of this position is to visit client sites and therefore you will be required to complete a Criminal Background Check. Please confirm that you are comfortable to complete this.
- Have you completed TT2 (Level 2 Technical Training) or higher?
- Are you a Red Seal Journeyperson?
- Are you comfortable with On Call Expectations?
- Currently the expectation is for all plumbers to cover one week of “On-Call” approximately every 6-7 weeks
- On call plumbers must be available to attend afterhours emergencies that occur Monday - Friday between 4:30pm - 7:00am, the weekend, and the following stat holiday Monday if there is one
- For each week of on call the plumber will be paid an extra 8 hours at straight time.
- For each emergency call the plumber will be paid a minimum of 2 hours at time and a half pay
Licence/Certification:
- BC Drivers License and Clean Driving Record (required)
