Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings. This role requires excellent clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients across diverse populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, documenting findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
- Assist in procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, catheterization, and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control practices.
- Participate in case management activities and discharge planning for patients transitioning from acute care settings.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.
Experience
Candidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Epic or Cerner EMR systems
- Long-term care or assisted living environments
- Emergency medicine or urgent care settings
- Pain management techniques including acute pain management
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and medical terminology
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of hospice & palliative medicine principles
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support techniques
Additional preferred skills include but are not limited to:
- Knowledge of health coaching principles and nutrition
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices and dementia care strategies
- Experience in home care or community-based settings

Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $55.00 - $100.00 per hour
