Job Title: Podiatrist

As a Podiatrist at Toronto Health Institute, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions, enhancing the mobility and quality of life for your patients. What you’ll do

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients’ foot and ankle health.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that may include prescribing medications, recommending therapies, or performing surgical procedures.
• Utilize advanced medical imaging techniques to diagnose conditions accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients on preventative care and management of chronic conditions affecting their feet.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) to track patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Stay current with advancements in podiatry and related fields through continuous education and clinical research.

Basic qualifications

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice podiatry.
• Proficiency in EHR systems for patient documentation.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with medical imaging technologies such as CT scans and MRI.
• Familiarity with Epic software for managing patient records.
• Knowledge of perioperative care practices related to podiatric surgery.
• Background in critical care or emergency medicine is a plus.
• Skills in wound care, suturing, and pain management techniques.
