Policy Ops Manager, Online Safety

If so, we invite you to embark on an impactful journey with us at IMDA's Online Communications Office (OCO) as a Policy Operations Manager, Online Safety.

Your Impactful Role (Key Responsibilities):

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across Government and Industry to operationalize pivotal regulations related to online safety and misinformation. Your role will involve multiple negotiations and coordination efforts to ensure a unified approach.
  • Content Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments on potentially violating online content, taking swift and decisive regulatory action to address harmful online material.
  • Responsive Engagement: Proactively evaluate and respond to stakeholder reports and public feedback on online content, ensuring a dynamic and adaptive regulatory approach.
  • Embrace the challenge: This role demands weekend on-call duty at least once a month. Your dedication will be instrumental in upholding the safety of Singapore's digital space.

Your Profile:

  • Educational Background: Background from Humanities, Mass Communications, Computer or Legal Studies.
  • Experience: Bring your expertise from a technology policy or operations-related role in either the private or public sectors. Your job grade will reflect the duration and level of your relevant work experience.
  • Passion for Online Safety: Demonstrate a strong interest in online safety and possess a deep knowledge of how online platforms operate, including social media services, app stores, and online video games.
  • Advantageous Experience: Experience in Public Policy, Online Content Regulation, and Online Trust and Safety would be advantageous, including strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.

You may be exposed to graphic content not limited to Minor Safety, Suicide and Self Harm, Violent Extremism and Bullying so your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role is essential.
