Aalto University Endowment is supporting the university’s purpose to shape a sustainable future by generating continuous annual funding. The endowment invests in equities, fixed income, private equity, private credit and hedge funds mainly through different types of fund products. The investment approach is team based where all team members contribute to asset allocation decisions and flexibly work in different areas of the portfolio as needed while developing expertise in diverse domains.

We are now looking for a Portfolio Manager

Your role and goals

contribute to manager selection and monitoring especially on the hedge fund side
use time to analyze markets and assets, read articles and research, form your own thinking and participate actively in the asset allocation discussion
take part in Endowment’s analysis projects and trading the portfolio.

Your experience and ambitions

You are passionate about investing and continuously eager to learn more, especially asset allocation and market analysis, the intricacies of a wide set of investment strategies, and analyzing some of the best investors in the world.

We expect

you to have multiple years of experience in one of the key skill areas of manager selection, hedge funds, derivatives, data analysis, or strategic asset allocation
flexibility to take over varying manager selection and monitoring tasks
suitable higher education degree from finance, economics, engineering, statistics or natural sciences
fluency in English, Finnish language is not required

In addition, we value interest and skills in programming and/or sustainable investing.
