Centrica Energy is looking for a Post-Trade Settlements Developer to help us automate critical processes, optimise data integrity, and ensure compliance across high-value trading operations. This is your opportunity to play a key role in our transformation agenda, delivering scalable solutions that support the full lifecycle of energy and commodity trades.

About the Role

As a Post-Trade Settlements Developer, you will work at the intersection of technology and trading operations, driving automation and efficiency in post-trade processes. You will design and implement solutions that enhance data accuracy, streamline workflows, and enable real-time reporting for finance and trading teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end automation of trade finance and settlements, reducing manual processing time by at least 50%.

• Deliver technical design, coding (C#/.NET), and deployment for post-trade systems.

• Build Power BI reconciliation and reporting tools for real-time oversight of trading and finance data.

• Support migration and optimisation of trading platforms to ensure scalability and audit readiness.

• Collaborate with finance, trading, and engineering teams to deliver transformation programmes.

• Ensure compliance and data integrity across high-value, high-risk trading processes.

• Contribute to defining target operating models and business requirements (BRD/FRD/NFR).

About You

You are a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical foundation and a keen understanding of energy trading operations. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to make an impact by delivering innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate is a junior-level profile with ambition and adaptability to succeed in a dynamic environment who has:

• Knowledge of energy trading and commodities lifecycle, including settlements and risk management.

• Technical proficiency in SQL, C#, .NET, Power BI, Azure, and Jira administration.

• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and workshop facilitation.

• Ability to bridge finance, trading, and technology teams to deliver transformation initiatives.

It would be an advantage to have experience with MatchPoint.
