Full Job Description
Dublin Pottery is looking for a part-time Pottery Teacher to join our creative studio team from June.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in wheel throwing and handbuilding who enjoys working with people and creating a relaxed, welcoming environment. You’ll be teaching beginner-friendly pottery sessions, supporting customers during classes and helping make sure each workshop runs smoothly.
We’re looking for someone who is confident working with clay, comfortable teaching small groups and happy to bring a friendly, patient energy to the studio.
Training will be provided on how we run our classes, customer experience and studio systems, but applicants should already have pottery experience.
Responsibilities
- Teaching beginner-friendly pottery classes
- Supporting customers with wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques
- Helping create a relaxed, fun and welcoming class environment
- Preparing materials and helping set up before sessions
- Helping clean and reset the studio after classes
- Supporting with pottery processing where needed
- Working with the wider studio team to keep sessions running smoothly
Requirements
- Experience with wheel throwing is essential
- Experience with handbuilding is essential
- Teaching or workshop experience is a strong advantage
- Experience processing pottery is a plus
- Friendly, reliable and confident working with groups
- Must be based in or able to travel to Dublin city centre
Pay: From €17.00 per hour
