THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to set, operate and maintain pre-treatment & powder coating equipment to achieve the required standard of finish on fabricated panel products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare surfaces for powder coating by masking, cleaning, sanding and dip preparation.
• Apply powder coatings using spray guns, manual and automatic.
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal application.
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Participate constructively as part of a team to achieve productivity and quality standards.
• Ability to manage staff and achieve required outputs in the absence of department manager.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience in powder coating application is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift effectively.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of the use and analysis of industry standard pre-treatment chemicals.
• Functional engineering and general assembly drawing comprehension skills
• Recognised trade certification in either powder coating, painting or sheetmetal work
