Powersports Marine Technician

Adventure Motors is a full-service dealership located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, representing industry leading suppliers in powersports, marine and RVs including Can-Am/Seadoo/Skidoo, Kawasaki, Legend, and Mercury.

Job Overview:Adventure Motors is seeking an experienced service technician specializing in recreational marine vehicles to help us provide a high-level of customer support in our service department. Candidate must have a positive attitude, love what they do, and possess excellent troubleshooting skills.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

-Assembly, maintenance, and repair of various types of equipment including Seadoos, outboard motors, ATV's, SxS, motorcycles, etc.

-Complete all necessary training specified by management and/or the brands that we represent

Required skills and education:

• Relevant certificate or equivalent work experience.
• Strong mechanical ability and knowledge is a must!
• Valid driver’s licence with clean abstract & boater’s safety licence required.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Thrives in a positive teamwork environment.
• A passion for knowledge through ongoing training.
• Practical experience with tools and equipment used in marine maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals both on and offline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to understand and help others.
• The ability to carry heavy loads and to stand, sit, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods.
• Be committed to functioning within a safe, healthy and fun work environment.

The successful candidate will be required to supply their own tools that are common to the mechanic trade. Heavy duty tools and tools specific to the brands we represent are supplied by the dealership. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
