Practice Specialist – Workers Compensation

About the Role:

The Practice Specialist ensures the smooth operation of the Workers’ Compensation practice group by managing the practice hub, training and mentoring team members, and providing critical support to the Practice Group Leader. This role is integral to developing talent, optimizing workflows, and championing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Development

• Develop and deliver training programs for Claims Assistants, Law Clerks, and Law Graduates, focusing on workers’ compensation-specific skills.
• Create and maintain training resources, knowledge content, and precedents to align with firm standards.
• Mentor and support trainees, building their confidence, skills, and understanding of group operations.

Hub Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice group hub, ensuring resources are effectively coordinated.
• Act as the group’s subject matter expert, providing guidance and troubleshooting as needed.

Performance & Reporting

• Monitor trainee progress, assess skills, and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain detailed performance records and provide regular updates to the Practice Group Leader.

Operational Support

• Assist the Practice Group Leader with executive and operational tasks, contributing to the efficient management of the practice group.
• Evaluate process efficiency, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance team productivity.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies, championing accountability and operational standards.

Client File Support:

• Take on Senior Paralegal responsibilities for client files as directed by the Practice Group Leader.
