St Nicholas Early Education is seeking an experienced and committed Practice Support Lead to champion pedagogical and compliance excellence and drive continuous improvement across our early education services.
This exciting new role is an opportunity to work alongside a dedicated leadership team to uplift workforce capability, support quality and safety, and ensure our services meet the individual needs of children in inclusive and nurturing environments.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
About the Role
As the Practice Support Lead, you’ll provide tailored guidance and coaching to educators and leaders across multiple centres. You will play a key role in embedding evidence-based practices aligned with the National Quality Framework and the St Nicholas values.
You will collaborate closely with our teams to identify areas for growth, implement best practice strategies, and ensure our services meet or exceed regulatory standards in education, care, and safety.

You are an experienced Early Childhood Teacher with a strong foundation in pedagogy, compliance, and safety. You’re passionate about empowering educators to grow and committed to fostering excellence in education and care.
Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Early Childhood Teacher.
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, including the A&R process.
- Experience supporting the implementation of effective teaching strategies aligned with contemporary early childhood practices and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Experience developing training materials and tools to support best practice pedagogy, qualityand safety.
- Participated in continuous improvement initiates to elevate the practice within early education centres.
- In depth understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Demonstrated ability to identify key strengths and areas of focus, and develop plans to enhance educator and teachers’ skills, knowledge and capabilities.
- Experience in quality assurance, safety and pedagogy within the ECEC sector.
- Ability to support inclusive practices using expert knowledge and workplace experience.
- Held independent roles in quality or safety within the sector (Desirable)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Teaching, as defined by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Care Authority.
- Formally recognised by NESA as holding proficient teacher accreditation.
- Appropriate child protection training certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across regional areas.
- National Criminal History Police Check
