Job Description

Greatness starts here!

    Providing intake, assessment (inclusive of risk assessments), psycho-education and referral (including warm referrals) to allocated consumers.

    Supporting consumers to develop a personal recovery plan which includes a safe and planned exit.

    Delivering high quality trauma informed brief intervention and intensive therapeutic case management services (including assertive outreach) using a high throughput model.

    Supporting victims of crime to effectively navigate the criminal justice system.

    Working collaboratively with Victoria Police, The Orange Door and other service delivery agencies.

    Maintaining accurate, confidential and timely records of client’s information.

    Capturing the personal recovery outcomes for all clients using validated recovery instruments periodically.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:

    Experience in working with people experiencing trauma and loss.

    Understanding of Family Violence and familiarity or experience with the MARAM Framework.

    Experience in intake, holistic assessment, care planning, brief interventions and case management.

    A commitment to evidence-based practice with a desire to embed innovation to improve client outcomes.

    An understanding of the justice system.

Position requirements:

    Working with Children’s Check (WWCC).

    Victoria Police Check.

    Current Victorian Driver’s License.

    Hold a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification, or at least 5 years relevant experience and be working towards meeting the new mandatory minimum qualification policy requirement.


The fine print

    Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, hold a valid WWCC.
