Are you an experienced machinery operator or from a farming background, with a practical understanding of what farmers need from their equipment?

Do you enjoy helping people get the best out of high-performance machines and explaining technology in a way that makes sense in the paddock?

We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our Technology Solutions team as a Machine Optimisation Specialist. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who knows farming machinery, understands the pressures and priorities of growers, and can confidently demonstrate how John Deere’s advanced machine capability can improve productivity, efficiency and in-field performance.

About the Role

In this end-to-end role, you’ll support customers and internal teams from predelivery through to set-up, demonstration and full optimisation of John Deere machinery. Working closely with customers and internal teams, you’ll help translate machine technology into practical, real-world benefits — showing farmers how to use key features, settings and capabilities to get more from their investment.

You’ll also help deliver field days and demonstration events across the region, bringing machinery to life for customers and showcasing the amazing features of John Deere’s highly capable machines in a practical, easy-to-understand way.

This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys operating or working around farming machinery, can relate to farmers, and wants to turn that practical knowledge into a customer-facing machinery optimisation role.

What You’ll Bring

• Practical experience operating, setting up or working closely with broadacre farming machinery
• A strong understanding of farmers, seasonal demands and what customers need from their equipment
• Confidence explaining machinery features, technology and capability in practical, easy-to-understand language
• Interest in Precision Ag, machine optimisation and getting the best performance from John Deere equipment
• Strong relationship-building skills with customers and internal teams
• Mechanical aptitude or technical curiosity — a trade background is valued but not essential
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn the latest ag-tech systems and machine features
• A continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
