Deli Prep Cook / Kitchen Assistant (Part‑Time)
Real NY Eats is a growing NY deli‑style food business focused on high‑quality sandwiches, bagels, salads, bowls, and house‑made elements.
We’re looking for a part‑time Deli Prep Cook / Kitchen Assistant to join our small kitchen team and support daily production in a structured, hands‑on environment. This role is ideal if you genuinely enjoy working with food and want to build real kitchen skills.

What you’ll do:
- Support daily prep and production across our menu
- Help package and organise customer orders and early catering runs.
- Keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and well organised (tools, mise‑en‑place, storage).
- Follow food safety procedures, labeling, storage, and stock rotation.
- Support the Kitchen & Food Development Lead with prep and mise‑en‑place.
- Assist with food presentation and portion control, keeping products consistent and appealing.
- Work reliably across shifts while staying calm and organised, even during busy periods.
Who we’re looking for
You are someone who:
- Is reliable, punctual, and calm under pressure.
- Has around 1 year of recent, relevant kitchen experience (demi, deli, café, or similar).
- Takes pride in clean, organised prep and food presentation.
- Has attention to detail and a good attitude.
- Is genuinely interested in cookery and has a passion for food.
You’ll be a strong fit if:
- You’re eager to learn and improve within a structured kitchen environment.
- You understand that consistency and reliability are non‑negotiable in a small deli‑style kitchen.
- You’re happy with day‑time hours, 2–3 days per week, and no late nights.
- You want a real, focused role where your effort and standards directly shape what we serve.
