The Presales Engineer acts as a technical expert who works closely with the sales team to support the sales process by providing technical knowledge and solutions to potential customers. This includes understanding customer requirements, preparing technical proposals, delivering product demonstrations, addressing technical inquiries, and creating customised solutions that meet client needs. The Presales Engineer plays a crucial role in building customer confidence and ensuring that the proposed solution aligns with the customer's technical and business objectives. They also often assist in the implementation phase and provide feedback to product development teams.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and business objectives.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to potential clients.
- Perform solution architecture design and ensure product compatibility with client infrastructure.
- Work closely with internal departments to communicate client feedback and requirements.
- Support the transition from pre-sales to post-sales by assisting with implementation and deployment as needed.
- Previous experience in a Presales Engineer or similar position.
- Extensive experience in server or storage (Dell/NetApp), and networking (Juniper/Fortinet). CISCO, Azure and AI Purview (or other relevant AI technologies) is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and solution architecture design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences, particularly to c-suite executives.
- Relevant certifications in infrastructure and/or networking, including CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4-7, JNCIP or PCNSE.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering customer-focused solutions.
- Travel on-site to our office in Notting Hill and to our client's sites across metro Melbourne.
- Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions
