Duties

• Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, and curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children.
• Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence through engaging activities and play-based learning.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
• Support children with diverse needs by applying special education strategies and working with children with autism or disabilities to promote inclusive participation.
• Conduct assessments of children's developmental progress in areas such as language skills, social interaction, motor skills, and cognitive abilities to inform instruction.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child's growth, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and individualized plans when necessary.
• Ensure health and safety standards are upheld at all times within the daycare or preschool setting.
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education practices like Montessori methods or toddler care techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school environments.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and curriculum standards.
• Experience managing classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies.
• Familiarity with special education needs, including working with children with autism or disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with parents.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners using inclusive practices such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches.
• Prior experience in classroom management within early childhood settings is preferred.
• Certification in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour
