JOB SUMMARY
Holy Comforter Episcopal School seeks a full-time, 10-month Preschool Teacher beginning August 2024. HCES serves over 350 elementary school students from PK3 through 5th grade.

A HCES teacher must demonstrate a consistent sense of enthusiasm and passion that inspires children to want to learn; continually strive to foster new and innovative ideas to help grow the program beyond the required expectations; Continue to challenge yourself to be the consummate learner in your field and develop and implement lesson plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required. In addition:
- Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for individual student differences.
- Plan, prepare and teach skills to students in grades PK3, PK4 and kindergarten including grade-level musicals and performances throughout the year.
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials and equipment that reflect accommodation for individual needs of students assigned.
- Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results for instructional activities.
- Cooperate with other faculty members and staff in planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives and methods according to school requirements.
- Use technology in the teaching/learning process.
- Communicate regularly with parents about the progress of their child(ren) through newsletters, emails, class page.
- Assume responsibility for extracurricular or co-curricular activities as assigned or approved by the school.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social and emotional development of students.
- Manage student behavior.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Assist in selection of instructional materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Proven experience in preschool or early childhood settings
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement engaging curriculum
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with special needs
- Familiarity with literacy education and early intervention strategies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,500.00 per year
