Preschool Field Officer

Full Time Permanent Position

Salary Range $124,844 to $127,026 per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO

Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.

The Opportunity

The successful applicant will join a dynamic team who work closely with the early childhood educators in State Government funded 3- and 4-year-old Kindergarten programs to enhance their capacity and confidence to provide an inclusive program that is considerate to the needs of all children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing an active caseload and prioritising referrals for the effective operation of the PSFO service to ensure delivery priorities and funding obligations are met.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to early childhood educators, families and key stakeholders by offering specialised advice, identifying referral pathways and facilitating linkages to support and education services.
  • Promoting the PSFO service and strengthening professional partnerships and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and programs.

About you


To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Degree in early childhood education or regulatory equivalent.
  • Additional qualifications in Special Education desirable.
  • Proficient conflict resolution skills and ability to support educators with challenging conversations.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
