Position: Lead Teacher (Montessori Program)

  • $18-22/hr with benefits, depending on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and supports children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Plan and execute daily lessons and activities that align with the curriculum.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes cultural awareness and respect for diversity.
  • Observe and evaluate children's progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to create an engaging and cohesive learning environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori Education, or a related field.
  • Montessori certification from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a Montessori classroom or a licensed childcare center for preschool-age children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with young children and a deep understanding of child development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Education:

  • Associate (Required)

Experience:

  • licensed child care facility : 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • 1st aid & CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Montessori Teaching Diploma/Certification (Preferred)
