Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Press Operator (mainly KONICA machines) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of high-end digital printing equipment, ensuring efficient and accurate production of print jobs. The Digital Press Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and timely delivery of printed materials for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain digital press equipment (e.g., inkjet, toner-based, or other digital printing systems).
• Set up and adjust press parameters (e.g., color, resolution, and print format) to meet job specifications.
• Monitor the press during production to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as needed.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of the press and related equipment.
• Conduct quality control checks, inspecting printed materials for color accuracy, alignment, and consistency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions and escalate technical issues when necessary.
• Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with the prepress department to ensure proper file preparation and pre-press configurations.
• Keep accurate records of job production, materials used, and machine settings.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Stay up-to-date with new digital printing technologies and techniques.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in digital printing preferred.
• Proven experience in digital printing operations, ideally in a commercial print environment.
• Strong understanding of digital printing technologies, press operations, and color management.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, blueprints, and print specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with specific digital press brands (mainly KONICA machines)
• Knowledge of various finishing processes (e.g., cutting, binding, and folding)
• Familiarity with print production management software and workflows
• Ability to work in fast pace environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.07 - $23.26 per hour
