Preventative Maintenance Technician

Purpose of the Position:

The Preventive Maintenance Lead is responsible, under the direction of the Maintenance

Supervisor/Property Manager, for the overall maintenance of the physical property.

Keeps the Maintenance Manager fully informed of the site's status in compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensures maintenance and repair work is completely safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.

Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms (CARE, RPM, GCPM), meeting rooms, and/or public spaces.

Inspects work performed by team members.

Ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present in the room and in working order, replacing light fixtures, and inspecting and repairing grout and caulking.

 Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.

Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Vision requirements include both close range and long-distance vision.

Must be able to follow written direction.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must have Valid Driver's License.

Must be able to climb ladders and crawl into confined spaces.

Must be able to endure walking, squatting, bending, balancing, climbing, kneeling, crawling and prolonged standing.

Must be able to use hands to grip power and hand tools.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Preferred, High School diploma or GED.

Related experience preferred, at least 1-2+ years.

Physical Demands:

Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects, weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
