ArcelorMittal Europe Long Products (AME LP) is operating a network of 10 steel plants, 17 rolling mills and multiple downstream units, producing and commercialising over 9 million tons per year.
Aiming to optimize its operations, AME LP is looking for a Pricing Analyst to join the central marketing team. In this position, you will get a chance to work in data analytics, reporting automation, pricing approval processes improvement. The main responsibilities will include preparing, consolidating and designing reports about offers, order entries, order book & invoicing that enable the Management to follow, monitor and take decisions regarding pricing targets per product /market. You will also support the Sales team on daily basis regarding any pricing query.
The role involves close collaboration with Commercial team, Digitalisation team, data scientists and IT. Interacting with internal clients and identifying areas where data analysis or process improvement can bring value in existing business is a key aspect of the job.
This position is well suited for a candidate who has an analytical mindset to create actionable insights and make recommendations based on data driven results, and requires at the same time a business-oriented mindset as interactions with the internal clients are priority in a fast-pace production and sales environment. The candidate shall also play an active role in improving the quality of the reporting process.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting (30%):
- Analysis of data from order entry, offers, invoicing etc. to identify trends to support pricing decisions and identify areas of improvements.
- Use technical skills in Python, SQL and SAP ERP to automate data collection and reporting processes.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations & reports.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design, implement and develop the reporting system and pricing tools, acting as a key user in the process.
- Develop ad hoc analysis and reporting and reports to provide timely and accurate information to stakeholders and support pricing decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities, through process improvements, technology solutions, and other means.
Commercial team support (30%):
- Support sales agencies in issues related to Offer - Deal – Order.
- Root cause analysis: price deviations and offer-to-order workflows.
- Offer approval rights management.
- Maintenance of pricing extras (Profile/Grade/Length etc.) and components of profitability (Freight costs, Variable costs etc.) in various platforms.
- Register rebate and commission provisions in order entry / offer systems.
- Drive change management for commercial stakeholders.
- Monthly uploads of Cost Forecast & Price Guideline for Export countries.
Project Management / IT tools (30%):
- Coordination with IT for new developments & testing.
- Improvements of our current pricing processes (approval flows for offers, orders etc.).
Sales Planning (10%):
- Drive sales planning processes covering most recent forecast and budget planning.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in supply chain management, business, statics, economics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, or related field.
- Sound ERP system experience.
- Solid experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel/Power Query, SharePoint or Power Automate; coding skills with Python and/or SQL is an advantage (or willingness to learn basic coding skills)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Customer-oriented mindset.
- Effective organizational skills, experience in project management is an advantage.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Adaptable and agile - able to work effectively in a very fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Fluency in English is required, knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.

ABOUT THE TEAM
We have a very smart, motivated and experienced Sales team with very good access to customers. Customer surveys have consistently shown a positive perception of our Sales network by the customers. In addition, the wide range of products, multiple production locations and global market presence is a unique strength of ArcelorMittal which is unmatched by any competitor.
The challenge is, on the one hand to maximise sales and on the other hand to maintain our technical and service leadership.
In the other products, the aim is to manage pricing in a volatile and oversupplied market so that the mills are fully loaded at the best prices that are possible in a rapidly changing market environment.
The Business Divisions (BDs) are responsible for the sales in their domestic markets and my Central CMO team is active in the export markets.
In the area of Marketing, product mix enrichment is our focus. Increasing the content of high margin products in the mix by developing strong positions in high value market segments is the objective we are constantly working on, together with the Sales, Mills and R&D.
In addition, we are also managing the annual business planning and strategy exercises. Helping the sales network to reduce cost and increase productivity is another Central CMO team is working on. This involves monitoring costs and also to drive the development of processes and IT tools to make the sales function more efficient.
