We are seeking an experienced Principal Business Development Manager- OEM to build partnerships across various players in the Automotive industry – OEMs, tech vendors, data providers, etc. The role will define a strategy and work towards building long term sustainable relationships and partnerships for Amazon in a brand-new space – Amazon Autos. This role will advocate internally and externally on behalf of Amazon. And should have proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task and a proven record of driving growth. The right candidate must be an effective driver and communicator in working with other key stakeholders, including top automotive OEMs, account managers, product teams, and executive leadership (C-level), both internally and externally. You will influence and build relationships with top automotive OEMs to drive revenue and increase inventory coverage. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders across multiple teams. Using your deep knowledge of the Automotive landscape, and your solution-oriented mindset, you will develop opportunities for Amazon. You are an excellent oral and written communicator and you possess an analytical approach to business development, leveraging data to drive decisions. You are highly organized and have the ability to work closely and constructively cross-functional teams. You're particularly adept at developing strong, one-to-one relationships and possess a track record of successful negotiation. *This role will require business travel to OEM, dealer and tech vendor locations* Key job responsibilities 1) Foster strong relationships with senior leaders in the automotive industry across OEMs, dealer groups, tech innovators and also leverage other areas of business within Amazon (AWS, Alexa, Advertising, Retail, etc.) 2) Identify and prioritize opportunities for business growth with each potential partner 3) Manage expectations externally and advocate internally A day in the life In this role you will collaborate with the team to expand Amazon Autos internationally. This role is inherently cross-functional - You will work closely with engineering, product management, design, operations, finance, legal, and other business developers to bring new products to our customers. You will be expected to create certainty out of ambiguity while having a firm grasp over the operational, and financial aspects of your programs.
