Job Description

The LGT Capital Partners Private Credit Solutions internship is a unique opportunity for top performing students to gain first experience in the entire private credit investment lifecycle. The successful candidate would ideally start in Q1 2025 for 4-6 months at our headquarters in Pfäffikon (SZ).
The team invests globally in private credit – one of the fastest-growing alternative asset classes - seeking to generate high levels of investment income from private credit direct/ co-investments, secondaries and fund investments. The team has a flexible mandate to find the most compelling risk adjusted returns across different credit-based sub-strategies, including direct lending, credit opportunities, structured credit and, NPLs and asset-backed credit, and invests into the asset class on behalf of a diverse global client base.
The internship in the Private Credit Solutions team will provide you with first insights into our business and hands-on experience. Among others, you will support:
  • the Private Credit investment process, incl. sourcing, screening, due diligence, execution and monitoring of direct Private Credit investments into private loans alongside private credit managers, secondary transactions of limited partner interests in private credit funds as well as fund selection;
  • coverage of the investment universe, including regular interaction with various counterparts such as private credit managers and intermediaries, sector analysis and research;
  • credit analysis and modelling, transaction underwriting and execution;
  • preparing documentation for the investment committee and client presentations;
  • monitoring of existing Private Credit investments and market trends including regular maintenance and development of internal databases;
  • overall development of the multi-manager Private Credit practice.
Requirements
  • Outstanding academic credentials from a leading university and currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor or Master degree program in business, economics, finance, financial engineering, accounting or similar subject;
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and fundamental business analysis;
  • Capable to analyze and draw conclusions from sizeable data sets, with help of your modeling skills;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team, with excellent written and oral English skills – other languages are a plus;
  • Enjoying work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere, with curiosity and a good flair for organization.
