PRIVATE HEALTH CARE ATTENDENT - PSW CERTIFICATE NOT REQUIRED

Looking for a part-time Health Care Attendant to join a team of Attendants supporting an individual in their home. This position is funded through a government program, however would be paid directly by the individual receiving care. Position requires assistance with Activities of Daily Living during both PM and AM routines plus overnight hours (asleep hours with sleeping accommodations provided). Duties:

As required and directed by the client; may include, but are not limited to the following Activities of Daily Living;

• Assistance with transferring, positioning, dressing, undressing and toileting
• Provide personal hygiene care, some meal preparations, load/unload dishwasher, etc.

Requirements:

• Female
• English speaking
• Scent free environment {no Smoking, vaping, perfumes}
• Must be cat and horse friendly
• Familiar with SCI care would be an asset
• A vulnerable sector check and references
• COVID Vaccine preferred
• PSW certificate not required

Wages:

• $25.00/hour
• $143 flat rate for overnight shift
• Will receive a T4 showing wages plus 4% vacation pay, minus regular payroll deductions
• Payment will be issued every other week by cheque

Schedule:

• 2 Mornings every week
• Shifts = 3 hour for AM Routine
• Two Shifts Min.: Tuesday; Wednesday; 7:30-10:30 {flexible}
• With covers of other mornings; evening and overnights on occasion
• In 2027 every other Friday night/Saturday morning & Saturday night/Sunday morning
• Overnight sleep accommodations provided
