On a proforma basis at HY 2024 following the acquisition of Lombard International Assurance Holdings Sarl, Utmost International would have managed £103bn of assets under administration on behalf of approximately 210,000 policyholders.

Your role – Are you ready for a challenge?

As an intern, you will join a team of Private Market Assets assisting them on the full process of acquisition of new investments. The objective of the internship programmed is for the candidate to be able to independently analyse Private Market investments and continue with its on-boarding and its life cycle management.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Proper understanding and due diligence of new private market investments until the final target assets held within the investment structure to be acquired by and held by the insurance policies,
  • Analysis and good understanding of standard private equity deal documentation and agreement,
  • Enhanced assessment of the valuation of the private market investments as well as all relevant risk factors related to that investment within an insurance policy as a whole,
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of collected and analysed documentation and evidence,
  • Ensure proper onboarding of the private market asset including the 1st deposit / mirroring with the custodian bank to be executed within the specific timeframe,
  • Ensure accurate application of the corporate private market assets policy and private market assets acceptance procedure.

Your profile – Have you got what it takes to become our Private Markets Structuring Intern?

  • You are currently studying towards an academic qualification in Finance,
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills,
  • Flexible, must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment,
  • Confident, professional approach to dealing with colleagues from different departments,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Knowledge of the alternative investment fund universe in Luxembourg is a plus,
  • Familiarity with the common MS Office software is a must,
  • Fluency in written and verbal English, knowledge of another major European language is a plus.
