The Position
Process Engineer - Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation - Matauri Bay Plant
Job Summary
To be responsible for the electrical, electronic control and monitoring functions of the industrial processing plant. In addition to providing similar responsibility to the quarry infrastructure, ancillary offices, laboratory and engineering workshops.
To organise and deliver the effective maintenance of the plant electrical, electronic and process control within budget parameters.
Management of Contractors. Procurement of goods and services domestically and internationally.
Management of role and team at all times to maintain 100% availability of industrial processing plant operations with an understanding and acceptance for the need to deliver continuous improvements in Environment, Health & Safety, Operational Excellence and Financial Management.
To work in partnership with the Operations Manager and Process Teams to maximise production efficiency.
Responsibility:
- Process Engineering for production of 10,000 dry tonnes annually of high value finished products to be shipped to >20 countries.
- Process Engineering maintenance of industrial process plant infrastructure to allow extraction and processing of 40,000m3 of matrix annually with related process waste discharges of 20,000 - 30,000m3.
- Contribution to business revenue of $10m.
- Electrical Materials and Contractor Budget for weekly Repair and Maintenance (R&M) Budget $125,000.
- Capital Projects and investments <$500k.
Education and Experience requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience and proven competence in process engineering
- Preferred experience within an industrial processing organisation
- Hold New Zealand Electrical Registration
- Demonstrated experience in procurement of engineering goods and services
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety legislation in the workplace
- Good verbal, written communication and IT skills .
- Hold Industrial Instrumentation Certificate
