That’s why we are seeking a Procurement Business Support on a 1-year Fixed Term Contract basis working 30 hours per week, who will be part of the Bupa team based in Christchurch. You will work closely with the Procurement Manager to deliver the day-to-day procurement activities to our business. With no two days being the same, this hands-on role will make a true impact.

This is a 1-year fixed term contract until 12 June 2026. We are looking for someone to start in the role end of May 2025.
Where You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Provide purchasing support to the Operations teams and our Care Homes across a range of products and services.
  • Ensure adequate supply of PPE while supporting the business to maintain appropriate stock for urgent resupply across our 5 regional storage locations.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Change management support to the business when new suppliers are onboarded.
  • Conduct supplier and product research to identify opportunities for efficiencies and savings.
  • Provide administrative support and maintain updated contract records.

This is a Fixed Term Contract working 30 hours per week based at our Christchurch Support Office, with the hours and days flexible with your schedule. This will be a mix of office and work-from-home. Working closely with our Care Home Management team, Finance, Risk, and Property teams, you will play an integral part in delivering great outcomes that directly impact our people and our residents.

Your Person-First Approach:

  • 2-3 years of procurement or administration experience.
  • Enjoy getting out of standard routine and working hands-on in this role – no two days are the same!
  • Great ethics, integrity, and a passion for helping others while reflecting Bupa’s values.
  • Excellent excel spreadsheet, administration, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Motivation for building stakeholder relationships across the business and with our external providers.
