Job Summary
The Store & Purchase Executive is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating procurement activities, maintaining stock records, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for production. The role involves vendor coordination, purchase documentation, and efficient store operations in line with company policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials as per purchase orders
- Maintain accurate stock registers (GRN, issue slips, bin cards, FIFO)
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of materials
- Monitor inventory levels and prevent stock shortages or excess
- Coordinate material issuance to production as per approved requisitions
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and resolve discrepancies
Purchase Activities
- Raise purchase requisitions based on stock levels and production needs
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and assist in vendor selection
- Prepare and issue purchase orders with proper approvals
- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials
- Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing
- Maintain purchase records, vendor details, and pricing history
Coordination & Compliance
- Liaise with production, planning, and accounts departments
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and audit requirements
- Support internal and external audits related to stores and purchases
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems
Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of inventory control and procurement processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle or similar)
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Vendor negotiation and follow-up skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Basic knowledge of GST and purchase documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or relevant field
- 2–5 years of experience in stores and purchase functions (manufacturing preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
