KONE Procurement is a global organization of purchasing and supplier management experts responsible for direct and indirect material and service sourcing for KONE.

We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager to join our team and take ownership of strategic sourcing and procurement operations within the Marine unit. In this role, you will be responsible for executing sourcing plans, managing supplier relationships, and delivering cost-effective, high-quality supply solutions aligned with business goals.

This position plays a key role in driving local sourcing opportunities, supporting broader category initiatives, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and quality standards.

Responsibilities and Key Activities:

  • Ensure the timely, quality, and cost-efficient supply of goods and services to the unit.
  • Identify and drive category specific savings activities in alignment with unit and regional procurement management.
  • Develop and implement procurement plans in alignment with business requirements.
  • Meet defined procurement targets and deliverables set by the Procurement Unit Manager.
  • Support the implementation of local and category-driven procurement strategies.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and engage key stakeholders.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, selection, and performance management using according to KONE’s strategic procurement processes.
  • Handle supplier performance issues in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Maintain and update supplier price lists and contract information.
  • Report on procurement KPIs, budgets, and forecasts regularly.
  • Ensure adherence to KONE procurement (KPO) policies, as well as compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Serve as the primary contact for escalations and strategic procurement decisions within the unit.

The role includes responsibility for regular reporting of sourcing unit KPI’s and for local unit supplier relationship management. You will ensure compliance and adherence to KONE sourcing policies & procedures, quality, safety and environmental standards.

As a leader you are experienced and visionary with the ability to communicate with confidence and clarity. A leader who identifies and breaks down barriers to open communication. You encourage team members to share and implement their ideas and understand the value of cooperation between functions. For you it is important to keep yourself up to date on current developments in the industry and to always seek opportunities for improvement.

Requirements for the role :

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in relevant academic field (e.g., engineering, supply chain management, or business).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain management, preferably from a technical matrix organization. Related category experience is an asset.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking, change management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills, understanding strategic sourcing process is an asset.
  • Capability to work effectively and drive change in a matrix environment with our business and cross-functional teams.
  • A team player attitude and strong performance under pressure.
  • Proven leadership- and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and work with other business functions.
  • Clear communication skills, fluent in English language.
  • Willingness to travel.

The position is located in Hyvinkää. The preferred start would be in September 2025.
